The Roman Catholic Bishop of Dunedin is seeking an inspirational and visionary leader to support the Diocese and our Education leaders beginning January 2020. The successful applicant will be a person of faith with a strong connection with the Catholic community. They will have proven leadership experience and an understanding of the Catholic education system, in particular a good understanding of the Integration legislation.
The Diocese of Dunedin has 24 state integrated primary schools and 4 Secondary Colleges. The Bishop who is the proprietor of the schools and colleges will look to the newly appointed Manager for assistance in regards to the diocese’s relationship with the Ministry of Education and the New Zealand Catholic Education Office. The Bishop also seeks a leader who can provide a strategic vision for Catholic Education in the Diocese. Our school leaders will look to the new Manager of The Catholic Education Office for guidance around matters of compliance, pastoral support and educational leadership.
