St Peter’s College is a Catholic co-educational boarding school with strong academic success and excellent cultural and sporting traditions.  Set in the heart of rural Southland, the college enjoys the loyalty and commitment of a Catholic community spanning a wide geographical area.

The new principal will lead a well-established and thriving college which provides holistic, high quality education with a Catholic special character foundation for 400 students from Y7 to Y13, of which approximately 50 are boarders.  The College is part of an innovative Tertiary High School programme and is beginning a Project Based Learning programme for Y8-10 from Term 3.  St Peter’s College is part of the Eastern Southland Kahui Ako of thirteen schools and maintains a strong presence within a supportive rural community.

The Board of Trustees is looking to appoint a strong strategic, collaborative and relational leader who will be a visible and involved member of the wider school community.  The new principal will continue to strengthen the college and continue to build capacity within staff and students while realising the vision that has been created collaboratively by the college community. A willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the college shall be a condition of appointment.
